Microsuede Feather King Comforter Set Chocolate

10 star price 3 star quality 5 star Comfy4

I have had this set for about 2 months now. It looks great and for the price I am thrilled with it. Some things to think about: I bought the king size set for my queen size bed. I am glad I did. The King size drapes just enough over the sides to give adeqate coverage for my thick mattress and most of the box spring so that only the nice wooden bedrail shows. The King set comes with standard size shams. This was not a problem for me but should be noted. The down fill tends to gather towards the center of our spread between my husband and myself(it's not sewn in to squares but rather the stitching is crosses that would form squares if they connected so the fill can move around. This is easy to "fix" by swiftly running your hand firmly in the diretion you want to 'push' the fill. It evens out in three or four swishes when making the bed. We have the set in Camel... and it matches quite nicely though not exactly with the Pinzon Flannel sheets in Camel also available from Amazon. If I see this at the 35 price again I will surely purchase another one for backup... at that price I don't expect it to last forever-- but I can afford to change more often!

***UPDATE... the cat got sick on this and so it needed to be washed quickly- and I did so in the washing machine and dried it in the drier. I'm not sure if it happened during the wash or the dry cycle but I ended up with a substantial amount of feathers poking out. It was enough so that I purchased similar product on Amazon with a poly stuffing rather than the down. I still have this for backup but the feathers were bugging me.

1200 Thread Count California King Size Goose Down Alternative Comforter 100% Egyptian Cotton 1200 TC - 750FP - 50Oz - Solid White - By The Sheet & Duvet Store

Fantastic quality quite warm and awesome price!5

This arrived very quickly and I had it on the bed the same night. We use it inside a duvet cover and with flannel sheets and honestly it is incredibly warm. The one we received was very well made good baffle boxes sewn all the way around and through to keep filling in place edges very sturdy with roping it looks like it will hold up very well. We have used it about a week now and it is not very heavy but we find it to be plenty warm. It covers our standard king (not california) quite well but does not hang over the sides much. All in all we are really happy with this purchase.More detail ...

Pinzon Pyrenees King Medium Weight PrimaLoft Comforter

Exceeded My Expectations5

I've been looking for a great down alternative comforter for several months now. I've searched in Department Stores Bed and Bath store and finally online at Amazon. The comforters that I really liked in the brick and mortar stores were of exceptional quality but also high priced. I could not find any comforters that I could see taking home for under $200.

When I saw this comforter on Amazon I was a bit skeptical and thought "hey if I don't like it I'll send it back" - Well this baby is staying on my bed! It really is wonderful! Great quality! Pure comfort! And for under $100 for the medium fill (which I purchased) you can't beat the price for the quality.

Oh - One major part of my decision to order was the box stitching and how this feature keeps the fill from sliding to the edges of the comforter. If you are seriously searching for a comforter like this buy it now! You will be thrilled with the deal!More detail ...

Clocky Alarm Clock on Wheels Chrome

Great Alarm Sound great little clock5

I've acquired quite a collection of alarm clocks over the years in the search for the perfect one. And while Clocky isn't perfect it is definitely the best one I've seen so far.

1. The alarm tone is adorable and (most importantly) somewhat random. Unlike the traditional Casio or Timex alarms which sound like fire alarms Clocky sounds like R2D2 going crazy. I hate all alarm clock sounds with a passion but somehow I haven't been able to fall in hate with clocky. That sound is just too darned cute (and somewhat random which helps).

2. The actual running around functionality is a little gimmocky but effective. The thing is clocky doesn't run until after you've snoozed once so you have incentive to get up (this can be configured from 10 to 0 minutes thus effectively immediately buzzing and running). But overall it works. Clocky runs until he gets stuck on a wall or a discarded bit of clothing and makes a bunch of noise. You've got to figure out where he went and drag him back.

While I had imagined some sort of light hop to the ground Clocky actually lands on the ground with a resounding thud. It does have 4 batteries in it. I once accidentally put clocky on the dresser over my bed and woke to a 3 pound alarm clock falling 4 feet onto my chest. While this little thing feels hugely sturdy for an alarm clock I can't imagine clocky would be too happy long term if you put it up more than 3 feet off the ground and had hardwood floors. Still It's probably more safe to throw across the room than most alarm clocks.

3. They've also fixed a lot of the little problems with most clock interfaces. For one the buttons are easy to press and interact with. Changing the time isn't a tedius experience as the key repeat rate is much faster and more responsive than most clocks. Otherwise it's press a button get a response with a clean and simple UI. The only unintuitive function was setting the snooze time (hold down the alarm time) but otherwise the UI is beautiful.

There are two problems though they don't quite detract enough to drop the a full 5 star score.

1. The button to turn off the alarm is simple and easy enough to press that the first few weeks I found myself pressing it accidentally every now and then thus turning off the alarm.

2. If you have a cluttered landing site Clocky may turn himself off as he jumps. If he lands just right (or well somewhat right) he'll hit that aforementioned button himself and shut down.

Overall of the 12 alarm clocks I currently own Clocky is the only one I still use on a daily basis. If you hate conventional alarm clocks I recommend trying this one. So far for me it has been great.
